My name is Brianna Wilkie and I am a twenty-one-year-old Australian director and theatre practitioner. I have experience in directing, assistant stage management, stage/production managing, acting, costuming, set design and production assistant work.

I have a passion for directing female focused theatre, exploring the female experience through thought-provoking but entertaining theatre. I aspire to create, collaborate on and support new works written by young people; ensuring they feel valued in the reflection of their experiences on stage, and are inspired to reflect on their own life understandings.

I find that there is value in my skills as a transdisciplinary practitioner as I possess a wide range of capabilities. I aim to use my transdisciplinarity to maintain work in the theatre/film industry and explore many ranges of projects.

Through my Bachelor of Fine Arts (Drama) at QUT, I gained many technical skills, and widened my previous understanding of directing in theatre, acquiring many skills to aid my career. A long-term goal that I strive towards is to establish a theatre company that produces new works for my generation and inspires people to reflect on their own opinions and understandings about relevant political and emotional topics.
